E.O. #D-57-21) The Flame Thrower canister coil is designed to mate with the Ignitor Electronic Conversion Kit, but can benefit virtually any distributor type inductive systems. Higher voltage allows larger spark plug gap for added power, smoother response, and improved fuel economy. The Flame-Thrower canister style coil has been engineered to complement our Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kits and Plug n’ Play Distributors. Choose from the Flame-Thrower, Flame-Thrower II, and the Flame-Thrower III depending upon system voltage and resistance. Oil filled coils offer great heat control for street driven vehicles, while epoxy filled coils provide superior winding support for high vibration environments in off-road vehicles and boats.

Warning:
Do not mount oil-filled ignition coils upside down or horizontally. Proper vertical installation, with the terminal facing upward, is essential to ensure optimal performance and prevent oil leakage or internal damage. Incorrect mounting may lead to reduced coil efficiency, misfires, or premature failure. For non-vertical mounting applications, use an epoxy-filled coil designed to handle such orientations.
