This alternation reduces the stress exerted on the crankshaft and prevents crankshaft failures which are commonly seen in high-performance applications. With a moderate intake/exhaust duration and a .460 inch intake/exhaust valve lift, this camshaft works great with stock or performance tune. Each camshaft is forged with high-tensile chromoly steel, precision ground to extremely tight tolerance, and then carburized and quenched to achieve 60+ HRC surface hardness.
